Seven Wonders of The World

The seven wonders of the world is NOT about buildings this time, but it's about something, something that we might have missed or overlooked.

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders Of The World" Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes.

1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, " Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many. "

The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of The World are :

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous! A gentle reminder- that the most precious things in life cannot be built by man or bought by man.

Hope the message portrayed is nice and meaningful. Have a nice day! =)

Intimate Strangers

It's been a while I've seen your smile,
Far too long that I've heard from you,
Wondering at life's every mile,
If ever again I'd hear from you.

I wonder why we'd play along,
As if like strangers who've never met,
And then like the wind that softens a song,
Our silence helps us forget.

Every moment we've held so dear so far,
Every feeling we've tried to dodge,
All of a sudden irrelevant they are,
An indifference we've tried to forge.

And in a jiffy we fade from being,
Friends to worse than strangers,
But how cold it feels to stand foreseeing,
All the coming dangers.

Cuz, a part of me is lost with time,
The 'me' that always knew you,
Although I cannot bring that back,
I keep wondering, if ever, I'd hear from you.

But then I think is this really worth,
The wait, that longing yearn,
Only to fall back in that dearth,
Marooned from concern.

Anonym I am

Welcome to my blog - Anonym I!
"Sometimes I wish to leave from here
Go and seek anonymity
Forget the place I came from
All I have tried to be

Go someplace and rest awhile
Sit and feel the breeze
Hide from all the world I know
Perhaps from even me

Would it be considered selfish
If I hid my heart away
If only to protect it from itself
And all it has to say

Is it so wrong to need some space
From everything you know
To just remember who you are
And where you wish to go"

Well, this is my blog, I go under the pseudonym Anonym I. The reason I choose to be anonymous is the fact that people seem indifferent to names, even to those that mean them good. I am weary of people who still think they can greet you with a numb smile even when they have hurt you real bad. In moments like these, I feel like evading their existence and walking away from the life that  I've knit with the scars they've left for me to remember them with.

I believe that we are living in times where remorseless reprobate minds have become the order of the day. They present themselves as innocent lambs while they are actually 'wolves in sheep's clothing'. I stand amazed at their coldness of heart and their sheared conscience that fortifies their conviction; being justified unto themselves for every act of immorality they commit. They call themselves guardians of ethics & morality, while they pervert everything righteous. It seems like the virtuous lay downtrodden with fear gripping their very existence while these arrogant souls, who fear neither God nor man, walk free with no one to avenge the cause of the righteous. We live in times where God is believed to be abstract and man's craving for power has rejected the sovereignty of God. But, God neither was nor is or ever will be silent in these matters.

Although i'd like to be Tony Stark (Iron Man), I am no 'Avenger'. However, this little effort is an attempt to voice out my opinion. The least you can do is hear me out. All I have to say to these thick-skinned stiff-necked people is 'picture abhi baaki hai mere dost'.

Well, I hope to have made a point. This is my first post and hope to hear from those that have read this blog in the comment section below. I wish that this remains an unbiased platform for discussion. I thank you for your interest in going through my post and hope to have a dialogue with all of you. You can subscribe via email to be notified of any new post that i'd come up with in the near future.

Aloha!
